The One Most Important Piece of Baggage That You Need to take on Your Flight

Author: sleepeasy
July 22, 2010

Its summer time and that generally means more travel is done than any other time of the year.  Children are out of school, the airplane.jpgweather is pleasant and families love to plan reunions, weddings, etc. at this great time of year.  While many may choose to travel by their own transportation, due to distance and time, many vacationers choose the airlines as a quicker and easier method of transportation.  We know that of late, many passengers have begun to grumble about the service of budget carriers but the low fare seems to continue to lure them in.

While the flight appears to be a great price when you book your ticket on the internet or by the travel agent, once you get to the ticket counter of the airline, there seems to be a never ending list of items they are charging you for.  Too much weight in the luggage, too many pieces of luggage and then once you are on the flight, there is a charge for meals, beverages, perhaps pillows, blankets and basic comfort items.  Have the carriers gone too far?

In an effort to save on a few of these costs, we need to be savvy packers when travelling!  Only take the clothes you will absolutely wear, try to mix and match items and remember, worse case scenario, you can always find a laundromat and wash a few of your items.  It s okay to wear an item more than once!    Ensure you have grabbed some food at home or at the airport itself, in case you are traveling over mealtime and when it comes to beverages, water is better for you anyways, so why pay for the soda?

Here is the one item you should not leave home without that the airlines cannot provide for you at any cost –the memory foam neck roll pillow.   This easy to carry pillow will provide the comfort you need for your neck while you enjoy your flight knowing that you have saved money in as many ways as possible!  You will be relaxed and pain free by tucking this pillow behind your neck, aligning your body and relieving pressure points.

Buying this pillow will allow you the comfort of starting out on the right foot for your holidays - taking care of your own health.  No airline will care that much for you!

Dealing with Neck Pain

In this day and age, there’s nothing more expensive than medical care. Even a basic doctor visit is going to cost you an arm and a leg (hopefully not literally!), and this becomes especially true if you don’t have insurance. And once you enter into the realm of elective medicine, the rates shoot up even more. These kinds of elective medicine include visits to the physical therapist or the massage therapist.

But for people who suffer from serious back and neck pain, there’s nothing elective about it. The pain is very real, and it has to be dealt with, or the person simply can’t function on a daily basis. But if doctor visits are simply out of your budgetary reach, consider using as many home remedies as possible. This includes the use of various neck support pillows. Some pain can simply be caused by improper alignment during sleep or extended periods of sitting. If you work a desk job and don’t think you can swing a visit to your local chiropractor, try a neck support pillow first. And if the pain persists, then bite the bullet and make a visit to your doctor.

When it comes to injuries, there’s nothing scarier than hurting your neck or back. These kinds of injuries, if severe enough, can result in permanent paralysis or persistent, chronic pain. While these kinds of serious neck injuries are not the norm, you’d be hard pressed to find a person that hasn’t at one point or another experienced some kind of neck pain. After all, anyone who has slept on their pillow wrong knows they had to spend the entirety of the next day nursing their aching neck.

Neck pain is particularly common among individuals that spend long periods of time sitting at a desk or staring at a computer, and this in turn can result in headaches or stress. If this sounds familiar, you are probably anxious to find some sort of effective neck pain relief. The first thing to change out is your pillow. If you have a specially designed neck pillow, you’d be surprised at how much of a difference that can make in alleviating your pain.

Certain job descriptions mandate a state of constant travel. A memory foam neck pillow can act as a comfortable aid on your way to the next long-distance sales call or industry conference. Neck pillows don’t take up much space, but they can provide valuable neck support that conforms to your body. Memory foam represents one of the breakthrough sleep technology innovations of our time; it returns to its original shape until more pressure is applied.

Everyone Deserves a Well Designed Pillow!

Just because you do not suffer from neck pain when you sleep, does not preclude you from having a well designed pillow.

A wrong pillow could cause snoring, headaches, insomnia, numbness in the arms and hands and neck pain or stiffness.

Too little or no neck pillow places the neck under strain.  If we go the other way, with using too many pillows or too firm of a pillow, the neck may be pushed up and joints pinched together.  Strain is placed on the muscles and uneven pressure placed on joints causing inflammation.

Sleeping on your stomach places pressure on your internal organs, neck, jaw and lower back thus not really recommended!

Here is some selection criteria for selecting a memory foam neck pillow that will provide adequate support for you:

  • Supports the head at the proper height whether sleeping in the side or back position.
  • Prevents the head from rolling sideways when sleeping on the back.
  • Keeps the head titled in the proper position while sleeping on the bad.
  • Provides support for the neck and upper back when sleeping on the back.

Everyone can find a neck pillow that is right for them with the advancement of memory foam technology and the pillow!

Neck Pillows Come in All Shapes, Sizes and Materials!

memory foam neck pillowHow can a person best choose the right memory foam neck pillow when the Internet is flooded with these pillows claiming to promote better sleep and relieve neck pain?

By choosing a pillow that is too high, too soft or too stiff, an individual may be contributing to a common health complaint - tense muscles which cause pain  and discomfort.  When proper alignment of the head and neck is not occurring naturally, the muscles of the neck and back often have to compensate.

The best neck pillows are those which align the cervical spine in a neutral position to support the lordosis (natural curvature) of the neck and to support the head and enable shoulder rotation.

For those who want to ensure a good night’s rest, choose a memory foam neck pillow with a scientific design.
