snore pillow

If you share a bed, or even a house, with someone that snores, it can be extremely disruptive to your night’s sleep. After all, some people are extremely loud snorers, meaning it’s roughly equivalent to trying to sleep through an annoying alarm clock all night long. If you’ve tried ignoring it and that hasn’t worked, advance to ear plugs. If that also doesn’t work, use technology to lessen some of the problem.

One option in this vein is a snore pillow. Specially designed to support the neck and airway, these pillows are very effective at quelling some people from their nightly snoring. The effectiveness of the pillow, of course, depends on the individual, but it’s at least worth a shot. If it doesn’t clear the problem, consider having the snorer take a doctor’s visit to see if the issue isn’t something like sleep apnea or a deviated septum.

Age and Snoring

Author: sleepeasy
June 3, 2009

old-man-snoring.jpgDid you know that as you get older, the tendency is that you will snore more?  For some of you this will raise the alarms if you are presently dealing with someone who snores quite a bit already!  Why is it that some people can lay on a couch or rest on a sofa-chair no matter what the time of day and within no time you have several “trains” running through your house!  Chances are these individuals are not resting well at night so anytime they can sit, they grab a few “zzz’s!

What is preventing them from a good night’s rest?  It may be their sleeping posture.  If they do not have a firm healthy support under their head and neck, it may cause an unnatural position to lay in which contributes to airway obstruction.  Stress pressure and tension can be caused to vessels, nerves, neck muscles and ligaments.   Not only is there improper rest, but tension headaches, muscle spasms, stiff necks, poor circulation and shoulder pain could be resulting.

The Snore-No-More pillow has been designed to help reduce airway obstruction and improve sleeping posture.

Don’t wait until the snoring increases with age, look after those needs today!

Attention All Snorers - There Is Snoring Relief!

Author: sleepeasy
May 8, 2009

snoring-cartoon.jpgWhen we consider  how many people we know that snore and how many of our friends tell us about who they know that snore, well, the list can get pretty long, can’t it?

Now, how many of those people actually have or are trying to find a solution to their problem?  I would guess the percentage is fairly small.  I believe there could be a couple of reasons for this.

#1 - DOING NOTHING - really why would you do something about a problem that doesn’t bother you?  If the snorer is able to sleep, there’s really no problem, is there!

#2 - NO ANSWERS - People honestly don’t know what they can do about this concern.

Let’s see if we can help with the second reason. Let’s first look at what causes snoring.  If we picture our throat as a tube, the thinner the tube gets, the quicker air travels through it.  As this air hits the loose tissue in our throat area, a vibration is caused and voila…snoring results!  The constriction of the throat occurs when the jaw falls open so thus we need to keep our mouths shut at night!

Consider the Snore-No-More Pillow which improves your sleeping posture to aid in a snore-free night’s sleep!  Designed by a doctor for anyone who sleeps on their back or side to position their head and neck in a correct sleeping posture to reduce blockage of breathing passages.

Feather and Fiber Core Allergies

Author: Sleepologist
March 31, 2009

hypoallergenicpillownosnore-perfectfoampillows.jpgIt’s a fact that millions of people around the world have allergies to the feathers and fiber cores used in most pillows.  When you’re allergic to either feathers or fiber cores, falling asleep can be a real pain.  Under these circumstances, a hypo allergenic pillow is needed for a good nights sleep.  Most of the time, hypo allergenic pillows are made of durable but comfortable foam which cradles the head and neck and provides the support of a regular pillow but without the irritating allergens.  Hypo allergenic pillows are also great for people who have sensitive allergies; it’s common to sleep better even if you don’t have known allergies to feathers or fiber cores.

Purchasing a hypo allergenic pillow is a cinch.  They’re available in most retail stores, and you can always find a great selection online.  Just make sure the pillow is advertised as hypo allergenic; otherwise you’ve only purchased a regular foam pillow!

Snore-No-More For A Better Night’s Sleep

Author: sleepeasy
March 11, 2009

snore-no-more-pillow.pngWhy is it that our ordinary pillow seems to be either too soft or too hard, too high or too low?  Why do we seem to have tension headaches, muscle spasms, stiff necks, poor circulation or shoulder pain?  Well, these ordinary pillows are filled with feathers or have fiber filled cores which do not provide the healthy support necessary.  They are unable to reduce obstacles in the airway caused by poor sleeping posture whether we are lying on our side, back or stomach.  Our heads and necks are placed in an unnatural position which contribute to airway obstruction and/or cause undue stress pressure and tension on our vessels, nerves, neck muscles and ligaments.

The Snore-No-More is designed to help reduce airway obstruction and improve sleeping posture.  At last, a pillow designed by a doctor to improve sleeping posture to provide a luxurious comfort for a better night’s sleep!

Author: sleepeasy
February 27, 2009

child-sleeping.jpg

Don’t be alarmed if you pass by your son or daughter’s room and hear snoring!  There can be several common reasons for this.

  • An active child in the daytime may snore as they are overly tired.
  • Onset of seasonal allergies
  • Yearly colds
  • Warning sign of being asthmatic (highly recommended to consult pediatrician if there is excessive nightly snoring or family history of asthma)
  • Early or current ear infection - consult pediatrician
  • Overweight - lose the excess weight or consider the anti-snoring pillow
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) - lacking the regular 8 - 10 hours of sleep a night can cause some children to be somewhat hyper.

There are definitely ways to help “unlock” the mystery around your child’s snoring.  Don’t be afraid to consider these points.  There may be an easy solution!

How Much Sleep Are You Losing Each Night?

How Much Sleep Are You Losing Each Night?

If snoring were just caused by poor sleep habits, the solution would be easier. But in most cases it is more complicated. We can take note of tips that will help stop snoring.  Losing weight will reduce fatty tissues in the back of the throat that cause the vibrating sound.  Elevating the head will make breathing easier.  Certain foods, alcohol and medication should be avoided before going to bed.  Some foods and alcohol tend to relax muscles.  Sleeping pills will help you sleep but again, it will relax muscles and increase the chance of snoring.

Snoring is not only the problem of the snorer but of the spouse as well.  Studies show that a person who sleeps with a snorer loses up to 60 minutes of sleep each night. Fortunately, there are a lot of products and devices in the market that claims to stop snoring.  One of them are specialty pillows that have been proven to improve better sleeping habits, while lessening the habits of snoring.
