We often inherit good or bad attributes from our parents and grandparents. Some we welcome others we don’t. Snoring is one of things we could inherit. There are many causes of snoring but specialists have generally grouped them into two major reasons. Snoring which is the narrowing of the airway, may be caused by either poor sleep posture or abnormalities of the soft tissue in the throat. A narrow airway gets in the way of smooth breathing and creates the sound of snoring.
To understand the case of an individual’s snoring is not a simple matter. Doctors make extensive efforts to determine a lot of factors including his position while sleeping, his general health condition, and gender. The sleeping position of a person says a lot about the cause of snoring and a person on the obese side will most likely experience the disorder. Males are believed to be more prone to snoring because they have narrower air passages than women.
