Don’t be alarmed if you pass by your son or daughter’s room and hear snoring!  There can be several common reasons for this.

  • An active child in the daytime may snore as they are overly tired.
  • Onset of seasonal allergies
  • Yearly colds
  • Warning sign of being asthmatic (highly recommended to consult pediatrician if there is excessive nightly snoring or family history of asthma)
  • Early or current ear infection - consult pediatrician
  • Overweight - lose the excess weight or consider the anti-snoring pillow
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) - lacking the regular 8 - 10 hours of sleep a night can cause some children to be somewhat hyper.

There are definitely ways to help “unlock” the mystery around your child’s snoring.  Don’t be afraid to consider these points.  There may be an easy solution!
