How is a Memory Foam Pillow Different?

Author: sleepeasy

With the success of memory foam mattresses and mattress pads, the creation of memory foam pillows followed quite close behind.  All three are comprised of the same gel-like polyurethane compound that both cushion and support the contours of your body.  When you purchase a memory foam pillow you can say good-bye to neck aches and cranial pressure points commonly associated with regular pillows.

What makes these pillows different?   Thousands of microscopic “cells” are  contained in a memory foam contour pillow and these can deform under pressure.  When your neck, shoulders or head rest on the pillow, the air in these deformed cells moves to neighbouring cells, thus creating the exact contours of your shape.

Memory foam pillows come in a variety of shapes and thicknesses as well as a range in prices.
